Bridge collapses in Pittsburgh hours before Biden visit

People were rescued from a hanging bus after a four-lane bridge collapsed in Pittsburgh.

Last night, President Joe Biden was set to arrive in Pittsburgh to promote his $1.2

trillion infrastructure plan and efforts to strengthen American supply chains.

The collapse occurred around 7 a.m. on Friday in Frick Park. A bus and several

cars were involved. Pittsburgh Public Safety tweeted that a natural gas

odour was detected and asked residents to avoid the area.

Police Chief Darryl Jones said three or four vehicles were involved in the collapse

and ten minor injuries were reported, three of which were bus passengers.

Jones said no one was in danger of dying.
