Neil Young couldn't do it alone. Why?

This week, Spotify removed all of Neil Young's songs after he demanded the platform

CHOOSE BETWEEN HIS MUSIC AND JOE ROGAN'S PODCAST. THEY'RE SPREADING COVID MISINFORMATION

AND ANTI-VACCINE SENTIMENTS.SPOTIFY PAID $100 MILLION TO ROGAN IN 2020 FOR EXCLUSIVE

RIGHTS TO HIS PODCAST THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE. THE SHOW HAS 11 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS AND

GENERATES A LOT OF REVENUE FOR SPOTIFY. BUT ROGAN HAS COME UNDER INCREASED

SCRUTINY IN RECENT MONTHS. SPOTIFY REMOVED 42 CONTROVERSIAL ROGAN EPISODES LAST SPRING.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ROGAN EARLIER THIS MONTH CRITICISED HIM

FOR "BROADCASTING MISINFORMATION, PARTICULARLY REGARDING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC."

Young kept his promise after it became clear that Spotify would not remove Rogan's show, but he had to ask his record label first.
